TRINITY42 and T42 Academy’s Role in Bringing SME AI Fest 2025 to Life

Kuala Lumpur, 6 August 2025 – When over 250 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) gathered at Menara MATRADE on 6 August for SME AI Fest 2025, most saw a packed programme of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and an unusual competition that asked participants to use artificial intelligence to write love letters and pitch quirky products. What many may not have realised was the effort behind the scenes — much of it driven by TRINITY42 Digital and its training arm, T42 Academy.

Co-organised with the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA) and the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), the event was designed to do more than just create awareness of AI. According to organisers, the intent was to shift mindsets among Malaysian SMEs and reinforce the message that “AI is no longer optional.

“Too often, conversations about AI are framed around large corporations,” said one organiser. “The Fest was about putting SMEs at the centre of the conversation and showing them practical pathways to adoption.”

TRINITY42 played a central role in shaping the programme alongside its partners. The agenda revolved around three key themes: Malaysia’s AI ecosystem, SME readiness in people and processes, and practical applications for everyday business.

Meanwhile, T42 Academy was responsible for one of the most talked-about segments of the day: the AI Prompt Contest. Designed as a lighthearted yet insightful competition, it asked SME participants to tackle creative challenges using AI tools. From welcoming alien visitors to pitching durian-flavoured toothpaste, the contest demonstrated how accessible and versatile AI can be when applied with imagination.

The event also highlighted the value of collaboration, with representatives from academia, corporates, and government agencies in attendance. Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed with institutions such as Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Asia Pacific University underscored the broader push towards strengthening AI readiness across sectors.

More Than an Event

Observers noted that for TRINITY42, the Fest was not simply about staging a successful conference but about setting the tone for a longer journey. The company’s involvement reflected its broader mission of helping SMEs turn awareness into adoption through structured training and accessible resources.

As one participant summed it up: “The panels gave us the big picture, but the Prompt Contest made it real. It was a reminder that AI is something we can all start using today.”

With the conversations sparked at SME AI Fest 2025, TRINITY42 and T42 Academy appear set to continue playing a pivotal role in guiding Malaysia’s SMEs into the AI era.
